Overview
Updated for 2026. This page was reviewed for the 2026 model year. Figures below stay as last published on this page.
The most expensive SUV in the world in 2026 is the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which starts at $441,350 — and climbs past $511,000 in Black Badge form before options. It is chased closely by the Ferrari Purosangue at $433,686, with the Aston Martin DBX 707, Lamborghini Urus SE, and Bentley Bentayga rounding out the top five. Here is the full list, with current 2026 prices and what each of these ultra-luxury machines actually delivers.
When it comes to opulence and luxury, very few vehicles can match the level of supreme comfort provided by luxury sport utility vehicles. Nearly every premier name in luxury automobiles now builds an SUV — and since Ferrari joined the club, the price ceiling has never been higher.
This list covers series-production SUVs you can actually order in 2026, excluding limited-run and coachbuilt specials. Prices are US starting MSRPs; nearly every buyer adds six figures of options.
| Rank | Model | 2026 Starting Price | Power | 0–60 mph |

| 2 | Ferrari Purosangue | $433,686 | 715 hp V12 | ~3.3 sec |

1. 2026 Rolls-Royce Cullinan – $441,350 MSRP

The most expensive production SUV on the market in 2026 is the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, which starts at $441,350 — and that is before a single bespoke option. The Black Badge Series II raises the opening price to roughly $511,000, and most commissioned cars leave the factory well beyond that. The Cullinan is Rolls-Royce’s first SUV, and the Series II update sharpened its lines with a new illuminated grille and redesigned lights while keeping the stately, upright silhouette.
Under the long bonnet sits a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 producing 563 horsepower (592 in the Black Badge), delivering effortless, near-silent thrust — about 4.9 seconds to 60 mph in a vehicle that weighs close to three tons.
To deliver its signature “magic carpet” ride, the Cullinan’s self-leveling air suspension makes millions of calculations per second, reading the road with cameras and adjusting before you feel the bump.
No comfort has been overlooked in the cabin. In the rear storage area, a driver-controlled button can reveal two leather reverse-viewing seats and a card table, providing custom seating anywhere you can drive. A glass partition separates the rear compartment for even more refinement.
The ultra-comfortable, all-leather seating is augmented by genuine wood trim, and the front seats are fully reclinable with massaging technology. There is even a champagne cooler or whiskey decanter in the center console. With Rolls-Royce’s SPIRIT digital interface and a bespoke options list that is effectively unlimited, the Cullinan remains the benchmark for luxury at any price.
2. 2026 Ferrari Purosangue – $433,686 MSRP
The biggest change to this list since it was first written: Ferrari now builds an SUV. The Ferrari Purosangue starts at $433,686 in the US, putting it within a rounding error of the Cullinan — and reportedly, demand is so strong that Ferrari limits how many each customer can order.
The Purosangue (Italian for “thoroughbred”) refuses the usual SUV formula. Its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 — no turbos, no hybrid assistance — produces 715 horsepower and revs to 8,250 rpm, launching it to 60 mph in about 3.3 seconds. It is the fastest way to move four adults and their luggage that Ferrari has ever built.
The four-seat cabin is accessed through rear-hinged back doors, and each rear passenger gets an individual sculpted seat rather than a bench. The dashboard carries dual cockpit displays, and the driver faces the same steering-wheel-mounted controls as Ferrari’s sports cars.
Ferrari’s active suspension system uses electric motors at each corner to fight body roll in real time, which is why the Purosangue corners more like a supercar than a 2.2-ton family hauler. It is the purist’s entry on this list — and arguably the hardest one to actually buy.
3. 2026 Aston Martin DBX 707 – $276,500 MSRP
Aston Martin is the United Kingdom’s leading sports vehicle manufacturer and holds third place with the DBX 707, starting at $276,500. Since 2025, every DBX sold is the full-fat 707 — Aston discontinued the base model, so the “entry” DBX is now one of the most powerful SUVs on Earth.
Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 697 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque, good for a 3.3-second sprint to 60 mph and a top speed of 193 miles per hour. Carbon-ceramic brakes and a nine-speed wet-clutch transmission keep all that performance usable on the road.
The DBX continues its sporty feel inside with a performance-inspired cabin: perforated leather upholstery, sport quilting, and a redesigned center console built around Aston’s latest infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Drivers can switch drive modes, firm up the suspension, and open the exhaust with the tap of a finger.
For families who want one vehicle that does the school run on Friday and a track day on Saturday, this is the segment’s sharpest tool.
4. 2026 Lamborghini Urus SE – $252,007 MSRP

While Lamborghini built its reputation on supercars – the Miura, Countach, Diablo, and Aventador are enshrined in automobile history – its best-seller today is an SUV. The Lamborghini Urus SE starts at $252,007, and for 2026 it is a plug-in hybrid.
The SE pairs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor for a combined 789 horsepower — the most powerful Urus yet. It reaches 60 mph in about 3.4 seconds, tops out near 193 miles per hour, and can also creep through the city silently on electric power alone for short distances.
On the interior, the driver-oriented cabin takes a page out of the aerospace industry’s playbook, creating a cockpit-like experience. Three displays handle instruments, media, and climate, with connected navigation, voice control, smartphone integration, and a Wi-Fi hotspot on board.
The Urus proves the “super SUV” idea Lamborghini pioneered is now the brand’s backbone — and the hybrid system added power rather than taking any away.
5. 2026 Bentley Bentayga – $226,750 MSRP
Bentley’s Bentayga rounds out the top five, starting at $226,750 — and stretching far higher through the extended-wheelbase EWB and Mulliner versions. It remains the most configurable way into six-figure SUV luxury, with a near-infinite palette of hides, veneers, and paint.
The standard engine is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 542 horsepower, good for roughly 4.5 seconds to 60 mph. The famous W12 has been retired; the new Bentayga Speed instead tunes the V8 to 641 horsepower, making it the fastest Bentayga ever built. A plug-in hybrid keeps the lineup future-proof.
On the interior, the cabin will be adored by luxury SUV aficionados: high-quality leather upholstery, hand-finished veneers, and available airline-style rear seats in the EWB that recline, massage, and even monitor passenger posture. Each interior can be commissioned with custom features to meet the driver’s desires.
Just Missed the List
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 ($181,350) — the previous holder of fifth place — has been pushed out of the top five as prices above it climbed. With a 550-horsepower mild-hybrid V8, an executive rear cabin with heated, massaging recliners, and even a cabin fragrance system, it remains the most luxurious way to spend “only” six figures on an SUV. The Range Rover SV occupies similar territory, with long-wheelbase SV models reaching well past $250,000 with options.
